Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited PA program.
• License to practice as PA in the state of New Jersey (pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination - PANCE) or for new graduate a temporary authorization, while waiting for license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
• CDS and DEA required.
• Certification Renewal Requirements- 100 hours of CME every 2 years.
  • 80 CME hours must be clinical in nature (directly related to maintaining or increasing medical knowledge).
  • 20 CME hours may be earned in clinical activities or for professional development activities that indirectly relate to patient care. (i.e. seminars on conducting medical research).
